When I decided to come to the media training, I was picturing myself spending these days behind the camera, learning to capture in a better way what stays in front of it. Instead, I pretty soon found myself on the “wrong” side, struggling to find words, telling a story of my own. It is challenging but being on this side of things helps in understanding how to film people in a more comprehensive and efficient way.

We are half way with the media training now and it has become very clear that audiovisual media is not only about audio and visual, but relies greatly on good story-telling. That has also been the main focus of the past three days. We have practiced telling our own, capturing the stories of others and also creating storylines for voluntary workcamp commercials.

Tonight we shared and discussed our own personal projects that we will be working on for the following days. Thumbs up for all of these!
